Here are the style stars of the week:
People who say black and navy don't go together are crazy, and probably haven't seen Rosie Huntington-Whitley in this outfit. When in Paris, the glamour factor should be stepped up and clearly, Rosie, got the memo. She's leaving the Balmain show (after strutting flawlessly down the runway) wearing a Balmain bag, Isabel Marant blazer and skirt and Saint Laurent boots. She's clearly not one for shopping at H&M. The slight touches of black make the navy pop and stand out. I adore this outfit!
How cute does Bailee Madison look at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party? Finally, another young star (she's one of very few) who knows how to dress her age! This is the perfect way to wear a crop top in fall. It's a slight turtleneck and paired with a longer skirt, it only shows a hint of skin. I love the pops of neon on the unique pattern on the skirt, and paired with the orange clutch, it keeps the outfit from looking too somber. Is it strange to covet the outfit of a 14 year old?
Here's the delightful Emmy Rossum looking good wandering the streets of LA. She's wearing a navy, floral print Elizabeth and James dress with oxfords and a fantastic burgundy Bally bag. She's definitely embracing fall colors with this outfit and, I for one, am not complaining!
Chloe Moretz isn't even 18, yet her fashion game is better than a lot of other stars twice her age. This is a perfect example of how to wear white during the fall. The skirt is a great length and shape with pretty lace applique, and teamed with a perfect-for-fall striped shirt. She kept the accessories simple with her favorite Chanel purse and some bow-tiered, Mary Jane Christian Louboutins. Looking marvelous,Chloe!
These people are in need of some serious fashion help:
No, your eyes are not deceiving you, that is Zendaya Coleman in a huge Emporio Armani hat and wide-legged flaired jumpsuit. One word: Why? I understand wanting to stand out and be different but this is not the way. She is clearly trying too hard with this whole look. Are you then put the hat away because he is the only one who can pull it off. Flare pants are a hot commodity( Don't ask me why, I would never don them!) which are unflattering on most people and sadly the case here. The wideness of the pants make her look shorter and gives her body absolutely no shape. This outfit is one for the junk pile.
Pros: I think I like the shoes, although the pants make it difficult to see them.
Oh, Hilary Duff, what is going on here? Hilary wore this leather dress concoction by Anthony Vaccarello to the iHeart Radio Music Festival. I do not heart this outfit. Not even a little. The leather is all scrunched up due to a large side applique of silver ruching down the side of the dress. Even her gorgeous black suede Christian Louboutin heels can't make this dress better. Also, Hilary, I'm pretty sure Lizzie McGuire would disapprove of the serious underboob you are sporting. Keep it inside the dress please!
Pros: Her hair looks shiny and great!
Heidi, you are world- renowned supermodel and host/judge of Project Runway, a show dedicated to creating great style, so you have some serious explaining to do about this outfit! What is that around your middle, Heidi?! It looks like a small cage made to squeeze her waist in, or even creepier, when you see an x-ray of your teeth. I understand you're proud of your body, Heidi, but it doesn't mean you need to find some way to flaunt it at every opportunity. Heidi is attending the amfAR charity gala but she should have shown us a little love and chosen a different outfit.
Pros: Her hair and makeup look splendid!
Rosario Dawson is the perfect example of letting haute couture wear you. I think it's great to experiment with new wardrobe pieces but I don't even know where to begin with this Vionnet creation. This gown has far too many layers for me to possibly delve into. There is a huge, cruise ship window attached to her stomach with tan and white waves of pleated fabric spewing out of it. The tan and white fabric reminiscent of shutter shades, also appears on the neckline and hem of the dress. Her arms are in a cape which I thought were meant for superheroes but i guess not.
Pros: Sadly, nothing
It's usually best to leave haute couture on the runway where it was made to be:
I saved the best for last this week, none other than Kim Kardashian. Uhm Kim, I think you forgot a little something with this outfit. Your SHIRT. This is way too much boobage for anyone that isn't Kanye and maybe even then. We know you love your body, but please put some of it away. The Lanvin blazer and Jimmy Choo heels are superb however, the Lanvin skirt is a different story. It looks like little pieces of shredded yarn were sewn together to make it. Not attractive. Dress for yourself and by yourself, or use a stylist other than your husband, Kim, you will look heaps better.
Pros: I love her blazer and heels.
